LINC Instructors Retire After Many Years of Dedicated Service
Last Friday, WWCC honoured the commitment and legacy of Victor Pinto and Dominique LaRose who retired from their positions as LINC instructors after 13 years and 16 years of service, respectively. Both Victor and Dominique will always be remembered as excellent instructors who helped thousands of newcomers find their way in their new homeland. Thank you.
Women’s Support Group Participates in Art Gallery Crawl
Last week, our Women’s Support Group, comprised mainly of newcomer Portuguese-speaking women, participated in a “Gallery Crawl,” a free initiative offered by the Akin Collective project led by Co-Director Michael John Vickers. Participants visited local non-profit and commercial art galleries in the Toronto’s West End, learned about various forms of contemporary practices, and got exposure to a wide range of local arts programming opportunities.
