Gladstone (Head Office)

Programs & Services

Gladstone is our main site situated in downtown Toronto and longest-standing location where we offer a variety of programs and services.

Settlement Services

Our experienced Settlement team assists Newcomers to Canada with settlement planning, government applications, information and orientation services, referrals, and supportive counselling. We offer services in English, Spanish, Mandarin and Portuguese at our Gladstone location.

Women’s Support Services

Our Women’s Support counselors provide short-term counselling and referrals for women who are experiencing physical, psychological or financial abuse. We work toward building self-esteem and social networks, developing greater independence, and helping you understand your rights in Canada. We also run support groups in Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin that bring women together for mutual support and information.

Live in Care Giver Support Program

We offer specialized settlement services and supports to live-in caregivers in Toronto. Our two knowledgeable counsellors are available to meet evenings and weekends as needed to assist with one-on-one support, employment and employer-related issues, employment training opportunities, information sessions and group activities. For more information or to make an appointment, please call Bernice Small at 647-878-2824 or Kelly Botengan at 647 894-0282.

Community Engagement

This program offers a wide range of ways to develop skills and take part in training opportunities. If you want to give back to your community or learn more about how to get the most out of life in Canada, stop by to talk to our Community Engagement worker or check out the calendar of activities that is posted in our Latest News.

On Your Mark

On Your Mark is a free community-based tutoring and mentoring program for children of Portuguese and Spanish-speaking descent. Students who are struggling in school are matched up with a volunteer tutor dedicated to working with them one-on-one or in small groups for up to 2 hours a week. The program is run in a number of schools across the Toronto District School Board, Toronto Catholic District School Board, and the Dufferin-Peel District School Board on mostly weekdays and Saturdays.

For our volunteer opportunities see here.

Community Based-Art Projects

We are committed to providing opportunities to newcomers and immigrants who want to become more involved in their neighbourhoods and communities, and build on their existing assets and ideas to develop leadership skills.
