Working Women Community Centre is a charitable organization that provides immigrant women with opportunities to improve the quality of their lives, as well as the lives of those in their families and community.
Established in 1976, Working Women has grown to provide programs and services in over 25 languages throughout five locations across the City of Toronto, including two high priority neighbourhoods. Although our programs and services vary, at the core of all we do is one constant goal— to empower immigrant women to do more and be more within their families and community.
Whether we’re helping immigrant women retrain for a job; encouraging them to take an active role in their children’s educational success; or allowing them to inspire other immigrant women realize their full potential, Working Women shows immigrant women that they have the ability to live a fully productive and engaged life and that doing so has a positive effect on those around them.
