Did you know that in addressing immigrant women and their families, Working Women is addressing the needs of a significant portion of our society. As a country, we rely on new immigrants to keep our country growing. Canada is tracking to be 100% dependent on immigration for growth and immigrants will make up 22% of the entire population by 2017. With Toronto being one of the cities where most immigrants settle, even more immigrant women are going to need our help.
With Working Women you’re in good company
For 35 years we’ve provided immigrant women with a variety of critical supports and connections that allow newcomer women to be self- reliant yet engaged members of the community.
For 35 years we’ve succeded in encouraging immigrant women to participate in the community they now call home.
For 35 years Working Women has relied mostly on government funding which is shrinking due to general cutbacks. The number of people in need of our services and programs are, however, growing.
For 35 years we’ve worked efficiently to not only keep our doors open, but to expand our programming. We’ve gained the respect of funders and donors through our consistent delivery on projected outcomes. Despite all our efforts, the demand in our services continues to increase requiring more funds.
Immigration is only going to increase and Working Women is trusted to meet the diverse needs of newcomer women and their families. Your donation is an investment that will allow us to continue giving immigrant women a hand-up so they can do the same for someone else.
